Major Ravi Mamman (Mammootty) arrests two LTTE terrorists in Bangalore, who are on a mission to assassinate the Indian prime minister on his visit to the city. On the run, he identifies the government minister K.K.Nair (Janardanan) as the main conspirator behind the assassination plot. Nair anticipates a political coup after the death of the prime minister, through which he hopes to seize power. However, Mamman's attempts foil his ambition. Nair tries to buy out Mamman, who refuses his offers. In an attempt to save himself, Nair shoots Ravi Mamman, but the bullet accidentally hits Susan, Mamman's girlfriend, who dies on the spot. Nair fabricates a criminal case against Ravi Mamman, of killing Susan. Ravi is court-marshalled and sent to jail. Upon release, Ravi leaves to Dubai, where he emerges as a successful businessman in a short time. His business empire is spread all over the Middle-East. He is assisted by Chandran Nair (N. F. Varghese), an over-enthusiastic NRI. Ravi's sudden acquisition of power and influence makes him an enemy of many who are eagerly waiting for a chance to finish him off. Swaminathan (Nedumudi Venu), an accountant and a fatherlike figure for Ravi, is in deep financial trouble. He wins a lawsuit and gains several million Dirhams, but Victor Sebastian (Cochin Haneefa), his cunning attorney, cheats him by conspiring with Kishan Narayan Bhatta (Nirmal Pandey), an underworld don from Mumbai. Victor kills Swaminathan and his wife (Urmila Unni), after forcefully transferring properties to his name. Ammu (Anjala Zaveri), Swaminathan's daughter reaches Dubai from Bangalore for the funeral. Ravi Mamman promises her that he will recover her property. Kishan Narayan Bhatta tries many ways to resist Ravi Mamman. Lieutenant Kiran Pothan Cheriyan (Biju Menon), once a subordinate of Ravi in the Army, is in love with Alice, the sister of Ravi. Ravi Mamman, while coming to know about this relationship, decides to make Kiran a responsible guy and hands over the reins of business to him. Chandran Nair, who was holding huge power over Ravi, finds Kiran to be his enemy and joins Bhatta. In the absence of Ravi, he plots the murder of Kiran and Ammu. However they are saved by an Arab servant. Ravi Mamman realises the role of Chandran Nair behind the plot. Bhatta asks Ravi to visit him in his resort to agree a final settlement, where he discovers K.K.Nair to be the brains behind Bhatta. K.K.Nair is killed in Delhi at his guest house by Ravi, who flies back to Dubai to face Bhatta. Ravi succeeds in saving Ammu with the help of Kiran, and during the ensuing struggle, Victor and Chandran Nair are killed. On his way back again, they are blocked by Kishan Narayan Bhatta, but in the violent fight that follows, Bhatta is killed after getting his head struck by the fan of a helicopter. more»

The story is set in a village where Roopa (Zeenat Aman) lives with her father, the village priest. As a young child, the right side of Roopa's face & neck were burned by a pot of boiling oil, leaving part of her face disfigured. Henceforth, Roopa keeps her right cheek hidden under the cover of her Sari. Despite the terrible accident, Roopa remains religious and goes to the village temple daily, singing hymns and devotional songs. The protagonist Rajeev (Shashi Kapoor) is a dashing engineer who arrives in the village to oversee the operation of a major dam. He abhors anything that is ugly. He hears Roopa's religious singing and meets her, but somehow doesn't pay attention to her disfigured side, and falls in love with her. He then asks her father permission to marry her. After the wedding, he discovers the truth, and thinks that he was cheated and forced to marry someone else, at which point he disowns Roopa and drives her out of the house. Roopa decides to meet him at night, using a veil to hide the charred side of her face. Rajeev spends his days hating his wife, and his nights loving his mistress, not knowing they are both the same woman - Roopa. During one of their nights together, they make love and Roopa gets pregnant. When Rajeev finds out that his wife is pregnant, he suspects her of infidelity and still refuses to believe this his "mistress" and wife are one and the same. In the movie's climax, a terrible storm ravages the village, breaking open the dam which Rajeev had come to build. In the swirling waters of the flood, Rajeev realises how shallow he had been, and saves Roopa from drowning. more»

Rudra Bhupathi a dictator of an estate, treats his entire villagers as slaves. Vikram a young and energetic guy enters to the estate who always faces against Rudra Bhupathi's wickedness and gets closer to villagers. Usha Rudra Bhupathi's only daughter also likes Vikram's attitude and both of them fall in love. A mad woman Bharathi roams all over the estate without recognizing herself, one day Vikram comes to know that mad woman is his mother and there is some suspicious link between her madness and Rudra Bhupathi. Meanwhile, Shishupal grandson of adjacent estate owner comes from foreign and he wants to marry Usha. Shishupal wants to remove Vikram from his way, so he plans an attack on Vikram in that quarrel Bharathi is injured and gets her memory back. Vikram asks his mother actually what happened then she reveals their past. Vikram's father Pratap Rao (Ranganath) was a forest officer who always comes in between to the Rudra Bhupathi's illegal activities in the estate, that why he killed him and also tried to kill Bharathi and Vikram in that attack Bharathi is injured keeping Vikram in safe-zone, but she lost her memory. Listening to all this now Vikram decides to take revenge against Rudra Bhupathi. At the same time Shishupal rapes an innocent village girl Gowri and keeps the blame 0n Vikram, everyone believes it including Usha because Gowri lost her conscious and not able to recognize the person who raped her. Usha gets ready to marry Shishupal, at the time marriage, Rudra Bhupathi comes to know that Shishipal double-crossed him, who is a cheat and not the original grandson of the estate owner. Simultaneously Gowri comes to conscious and reveals the entire truth and sacrifices her life to protect Vikram.
