This is a story of three generations of arrogance of wealth. It is also a story of great wealth, dishonest managers, anger, arrogance in semi- feudal India. In a social context, it is a story of the death of the textile industry in Parel, Lower Parel in Bombay. It is a story of the exploitation of labour. Some scenes of labour poverty is gut wrenching. It is a vision of a person who could reverse the process of attrition in the textile industry, if only till the textile mill was set on fire for insurance. It is a great movie to watch, if you are looking out for the social context. Dialogues are predictable, mostly studio shot, editing is a bit loose but overall, a slightly differently managed film than the usual movies of the time. 1980's. Radhe Mohan is a bad boy. He smokes, drinks, brawls and rags college freshers. Worse, he hangs around the same college campus he passed out of years ago and has never cared about looking for a job that angers his elder brother. But the soft side of Radhe's otherwise rugged persona comes to the fore when he falls in love with the beautiful and innocent Nirjara, the daughter of a local priest. Sundarapandian (Anandaraj), an orphan and angry man, is the henchman of a rich man Manivannan (Manivannan) and he often went to jail for minor offenses. Karthikeyan (Ramkumar) enters his house as a maid and he falls with his daughter Kalyani (Saradha Preetha). In the meantime, Mallaria (Kasthuri), an orphan, tries to reform Sundarapandian and they fall in love with each other. One day, a poor girl Chellayi (Ragasudha) is raped and killed by a corrupted MLA (Vasu Vikram). Sundarapandian and Mallaria finally get married, they decide to leave the village but they don't have enough money. Manivannan prepares his daughter's wedding with the MLA and Manivannan orders Sundarapandian to kill the innocent Karthikeyan. Sundarapandian, who is now a good man, decide to join the young pair.
