Lateef (Nawazuddin Siddique) is a middle-class youngster whose dream is to become a doctor. But as fate would have it, he gets caught in a drug raid where he simply happened to be present unknowingly. He is jailed and released seven years later, after which his whole life and his future are ruined. Meanwhile, ACP Sawant (Mukesh Tiwari) wants to wipe out drug peddling but has to face many obstacles from the corrupt minister (Akhilendra Mishra) and drug mafia Zafar Dongri (Murli Sharma). Laxmikant Kabadiya aka LK (Anupam Kher) is one of India's richest industrialists. His conglomerate is on the verge of a 5000 crore IPO that should make them one of the largest companies in the country. LK's family can't stop salivating at the thought of all that money. Unfortunately for all of them on the night before the IPO opens, LK dies. The family is distraught and horrified as now no one will buy their shares.
